The 17th International Solar Wind Conference will take place 14-19 June 2026 in the historic city of Bath (UK). The triennial Solar Wind Conference covers all aspects of solar wind and heliospheric physics, focussing on current research as well as future directions.
Thanks to our sponsors, we are able to support early-career researchers financially for their attendance of the Solar Wind 17 Conference. If you want to apply for this financial support, please fill out the form under the tab “ECR Support” on solarwind17.com. The deadline for applications for financial support is on 28 February 2026. We will inform all successful applicants about the outcome of the selection process before the early-bird registration deadline.
The abstract submission and the registration are also now open. The abstract submission deadline is on 16 March 2026, and the early-bird registration deadline is on 03 April 2026. You can find all further details under solarwind17.com.
The City of Bath was founded by the Romans as a thermal spa. In Georgian times, it developed into an elegant city with neoclassical architecture whilst retaining its spa tradition. The conference venue is in the city centre with walkable distances (up to a few hundred metres) to various hotels as well as to the city’s main attractions. Other attractions beyond the city include Stonehenge, the Somerset countryside, Avebury, Castle Combe, Longleat Safari Park, and the Cotswolds. All of these are easily accessible with public transportation.
The City has easy connections (coach and rail) to/from London’s large international airports (Heathrow and Gatwick). The Bristol International Airport is the closest.
We look forward to seeing you at Solar Wind 17 in Bath!
