We are pleased to invite you to the second virtual Space Science symposium organized by Women in Radio Science-Africa (WIRS-Africa) to commemorate the 2026 International Women’s Day.

Our organization, which operates under the broader framework of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI), is dedicated to promoting the work and leadership of women in radio Science, providing early-career members with needed resources and networking, and offering mentorship for members at all levels of their careers. This virtual meeting aims to bring together female professionals, researchers, and students from across Africa and beyond to discuss challenges, share knowledge, and foster collaboration among women in radio science.

Theme: “Give to Gain »: Promoting Gender Equality in Radio Science.

Keynote speaker: Jade Morton, PhD, University of Colorado Distinguished Professor, Helen and Hubert Croft Professor, Ann and H.J. Smead Aerospace Engineering Sciences Department
