The 53rd EPS Conference on Plasma Physics will take place on 5-9 July 2027 at the Swiss Plasma Center at EPFL, in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The call for proposals for Plenary and Invited Talks is now open, with a deadline of 7 October 2026.
The conference programme covers Magnetic Confinement Fusion, Beam Plasma and Inertial Fusion, Low Temperature Plasmas, and Basic, Space and Astrophysical Plasmas. We particularly encourage members of the space and astrophysical plasma communities to submit proposals for Plenary and Invited Talks and help ensure strong representation of these fields in the conference programme.
Plenary Talks should provide a broad, accessible overview of a key area in plasma physics. At least one-third of the content should be introductory to engage the full conference audience. Invited Talks should highlight cutting-edge research and significant new results across any area of plasma physics.
Self-nominations for plenary and invited talks are accepted, please make sure this is clear in your submission. Please note that members of the Programme Committee and EPS Plasma Physics Division Board cannot be nominated, and speakers invited at either of the previous two conferences cannot be re-nominated.
