SUMMARY:ISWI-SCOSTEP International School on Space Weather
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce the ISWI-SCOSTEP International Schoo
 l on Space Weather\, to be held from 5–9 January 2026 at the Indian Inst
 itute of Geomagnetism (IIG)\, Mumbai\, India.\n\nInternational schools on 
 Space Weather are one of the important event categories that ISWI regularl
 y organizes jointly with other research or academic institutions in differ
 ent parts of the globe.  The previous schools on the space weather were h
 eld in Nepal and Zambia in 2024 and 2023\, respectively.\n\nThis Internati
 onal School on Space Weather will be organized in collaboration with ISWI 
 and SCOSTEP at IIG\, in Mumbai\, India. IIG is an autonomous research orga
 nization under the Department of Science and Technology\, Government of In
 dia\, is internationally recognized for its cutting-edge research in geoma
 gnetism\, solar-terrestrial interactions\, space weather\, and related fie
 lds. The primary objective of the School is to inspire and engage Master
 ’s and Ph.D. students from around the world in the exciting research dom
 ains of solar-terrestrial physics and space weather. The school will featu
 re a series of expert-led scientific lectures on recent advances and conte
 mporary challenges within the field.\n\nThe broad topics covered will be S
 un\, Dynamo and Active Regions\, Solar Transient and Recurrent events\, In
 terplanetary structures\, Solar Wind Structures and Magnetospheric Interac
 tions\, Magnetospheric Current Systems\, Storms and Substorms\, Magnetosph
 ere – Ionosphere - Thermosphere coupling and Space Weather impacts. In a
 ddition\, hands-on data analysis workshops will provide participants with 
 practical experience utilizing real datasets pertinent to space weather st
 udies.
